BELTSERVICE CORPORATION is Hiring a Lightweight Product Specialist Near Memphis, TN

Beltservice Corporation is currently hiring for a passionate and highly motivated Lightweight Product Specialist who will produce sales for company products throughout the lower Midwest, develop and retain strong product knowledge, and build relationships within the territory to expand current accounts and gain new business. 40-60% overnight travel is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as point-person for the Lightweight program of the lower Midwest market, responsible for meeting/exceeding targets and revenue goals for the assigned area.
  • Provide vision, energy and enthusiasm to the sales team while being an exemplary model for Beltservice’s Core Values, mission, and core focus in the marketplace.
  • Identify and pursue direct OEM opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing distributors.
  • Conduct market research to identify possible opportunities and understand market conditions and expectations per product as it relates to competition and potential. Develop deep understanding of customer needs and pain points.
  • Assist in establishing criteria and evaluating for new products to carry in inventory as well as assist in eliminating products that don’t generate an acceptable return on investment.
  • Work independently and with the geographic sales team, Plant Managers, Corporate Product Group Managers, and Sales/Operation Management personnel to deliver the highest quality customer experience and technical training to targeted key distributors and OEM customers.
  • Collaborate with technical teams in Carmichaels, PA and St. Louis, MO to provide expertise and guidance on fabrication and product customization.
  • Active participation in the Sales L10 Meeting
  • Provide voice of customer feedback to Business Unit Leadership Team
  • Daily use of CRM in line with the Standard Work for CRM.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-3 years of inside sales training.
  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience in the belting industry is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent application and product knowledge including assembly/fabrication of products.
  • Knowledge of market, customer base, competition, and products sold in assigned territory.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
