Beltservice Corporation has an immediate opening for a Product Configurator Engineer. This individual will join a diverse group of Engineers and work in partnership with our Information Technology personnel to add automation to our front-end processes. This person will also act as a support specialist for this system for use within the company. Responsibilities & Duties

• Work with Business Units, product managers, production leaders, customer service, and sales to map current workflows and processes and define the optimum future state process.
• Identify where we can optimize workflows and processes, create and implement a vision.
• Develop and own programs within DriveWorks to create product configurators.
• Create the system to automatically generate product drawings through SolidWorks.
• Maintain DriveWorks, Autopilot, and DriveWorks Live environments.
• Maintain production readiness by troubleshooting DriveWorks server and configurator issues, and timely support for active users.
• Create simple 3D product models for use in DriveWorks.
• Develop key hand-offs from DriveWorks to ERP.
• Prepare presentations and communicate effectively with leaders throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Must be self-driven, willing to follow the trail and dig into the details.
• Problem solver, technical thinker, self-motivated, focused, organized, trailblazer, champion for change.
• Basic familiarity of programming languages, ideally including Sequel, XML, SVG, HTML, JSON (for email and document creation)
• Experience working with 3 or more of these tools: ERP System (MS Dynamics), Configurators (DriveWorks or Experlogix), SolidWorks, MS Visio, MS Code, MS 365.
• Desire to learn and self-educate surrounding needs of the projects.
• Demonstrate experience integrating with ERP Systems and Configurators with automated part drawing creation.
• Has “End-to-End” development experience, including creating and managing workflows, form creation, logic building, formulas, email and document creation, etc. (Preferred experience using DriveWorks)
• Possess a basic understanding of SQL databases and data management.
• Basic knowledge of shop floor routings and pricing methodologies to enable integration into the product configurators.
• Must manage time well. Create and execute realistic project timelines and goals.
• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred, but not required. Related studies may also apply.
• Experience using 3D modeling software is advantageous.
• Effective communicator in both written and verbal, on a technical level.
• Multi-plant/multi-product experience is a plus but not required.
• Belting and/or rubber knowledge is not required.
