- Assists with ensuring that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
- Assists with the development of warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, loading/unloading schedules.
- Helps to train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and ensure on-time delivery to customers and timely unloading of product.
- Assists with the review of staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Helps to maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
- Assists with the daily supervision of warehouse operations, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
- Help with scheduling and overseeing warehouse team and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
- Assists with the inspection of equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversees general maintenance when necessary.
- Meets regularly with staff to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans increasing efficiency and loss prevention.
- Assists with overseeing and managing logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of product.
- Warehouse Material Handlers
- Delivery Drivers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees
- Experience with fleet management
- Experience with WMS
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff
- Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal
- Forklift experience
- Understanding of safety policies for warehouse/material moving
- Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours a day
- Employee must be able to lift and carry, push/pull, reach, stoop, kneel
- Lift Carry: 50lbs occasional (anything over, ask for help), 30lbs regularly
- Push/Pull: 50lbs occasional (anything over, ask for help), 30lbs regularly
