Busy, solo immigration law firm in Richmond, Virginia seeking an Associate Immigration Attorney. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
Immediate primary focus will be the custody portion of Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) cases. This process includes filing for custody and SIJ factors with the Virginia Juvenile and Domestic Relations (JDR) Courts and attending hearings.
Additional duties include meeting with clients to assess and prepare their case, representing clients at Master or Individual Hearing with the Immigration Court, and reviewing and filing applications/petitions with the Immigration Court or USCIS.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in Virginia
- Prior immigration law experience is preferred but not required, training will be provided
