Bend Dermatology is in search of a reliable OR State Certified Medical Assistant to assist in Mohs surgical procedures.

We are looking for a reliable individual who is a self-starter and understands how to work as a team player. Dermatology and Mohs Surgery experience are preferred.

Certified Medical Assistant

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the quality of service and care offered to patients and for the respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assures clinical policies and procedures are followed.
• Assist physician in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization, and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand the provider to patient flow and anticipate the provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Tracks and informs the patient of laboratory test results and any follow up as directed by the physician
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Knowledge in OSHA and HIPAA compliance
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Prior experience working in a dermatology Mohs surgery-preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant: 2 years- required
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relations and customer services skills
• Great Attitude

Required Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:

• High School graduate or GED
• Successful completion of an Oregon State recognized medical assistant training program
• Current Oregon State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)-Healthcare Provider (must be AHA accredited)

Job Location:

Monthly travel to our practice in Klamath Falls will be required.

Wages: $22 , Wages are determined based on experience.
