You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring the seamless implementation and management of benefits plans. Your will help clients navigate the complexities of benefits management, optimize their offerings, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of the health and benefits landscape.Key Responsibilities
Service a book of assigned clients, managing their health and welfare benefit programs for strong client retention.
Manage the annual renewal process for benefits plans.
Oversee the implementation of new benefits programs, ensuring a smooth transition for clients and their employees.
New Business Onboarding: Tracks approval, final rates, and final enrollment results. Responsible for keying client information and rates / results into systems in a timely manner.
Take inquiries from clients on a wide variety of issues and provide solutions through insurance and employee benefit expertise, research of plan documents and/or consultation with carriers.
Resolve billing issues, claims issues, deduction issues and other client concerns.
Perform associated tasks, including entry of demographic data.
Review new client information and prepare payroll deductions and other enrollment reports for the client.
Gather necessary data on clients at renewal time to request alternative / competitive proposals from other carriers.
Identify opportunities for other Employee Benefit Services and Insurance products (i.e., P.O.P. / / FSA programs) and ancillary products (i.e., Life / AD&D, Dental, Vision, Disability)
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
High School Diploma / GED required; college degree preferred
Currently Licensed for Life Accident and Health in NJ preferred
Previous experience in benefits administration and client management
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable with phone calls and in person interaction with clients and service providers
Easily adapt to new technologies, including Agency Management Systems and web-based platforms
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
Work well independently and within a team environment
Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced, changing environment
