Benefit Cosmetics is Hiring a Benefits & Leave of Absence Specialist Near San Francisco, CA

You’re sooo Benefit!The Benefits and Leave of Absence Specialist maintains day-to-day operations and administration of employee health and welfare benefit plans, retirement plans, leave of absence/return to work programs, and internal wellness initiatives. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees in the United States and Canada and the internal liaison to the North America LVMH Benefits Department.
What You’ll Do:Benefits and Leave of Absence Administration
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all employee benefits in the US and Canada—including but not limited to medical, dental, short-term/long-term disability, life insurance, employee assistance program, commuter benefits, employee discount programs, service award programs, retirement, and other plans.
  • Support employees in the use of internal self-service systems and carrier sites.
  • Administer 401(k) plan through Fidelity Plan Sponsor WebStation and audit deferral data periodically.
  • Administer documentation and execution of all leaves of absence—including but not limited to workers’ compensation, disability, parental leave, CFRA, PDL, and FMLA.
Reporting
  • Produce compliance reporting on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis, ad-hoc reporting as necessary.
  • Reconcile benefits program costs through review of payroll deductions, general ledger reporting, and carrier invoices.
Internal Communications
  • Communicate and educate on internal policies regarding leave administration, benefits protocols, time away from work, etc. Draft and update policies as necessary.
  • Implement annual Open Enrollment process. Assemble overview decks and conduct training sessions to inform employees about any plan changes and/or new offerings being provided.
Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience within HR and/or Benefits with direct experience in benefits and leave administration, multi-state experience preferred (CA strongly preferred)
  • Experience with benefits and leave administration systems a plus
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to leaves of absence
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance regulations
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
Schedule:
  • Hybrid or Remote (Quarterly Think Pink Weel Travel, 4x/year)
  • This position is based out of our Global Headquarters corporate office in San Francisco, CA.
The target salary range for this position is $70,000-$95,000 annually. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus. This position is also eligible for the following benefits, including but not limited to: comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a 401(k) plan with employer matching, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts.
