BeneSys, Inc. is Hiring a Retirement Service Representative (Troy, MI) Near Troy, MI
Summary – Responds to incoming telephone calls from members and trustees. The department will have the number of Representatives deemed appropriate for our call volume.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include But Not Limited ToPositively respond to incoming calls from members and trustees to include:
Qualifications Background in customer service or pension benefit processing. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Education and/or Experience - High School diploma or GED and some college and/or job-related experience. Excellent customer service skills are a must.
Language Skills Effective communication skills are essential. Individual should enjoy and be able to work in a busy and sometimes noisy environment.
Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Reasoning Ability Representative must be analytical and detail oriented. Representative must be able to deal with people in stressful situations. Superior verbal communication skills are essential. Careful attention to what a caller is asking for and using good judgment. Ability to apply common sense and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None required.
Physical Demands Occasional lifting of paperwork and printer paper.
Work Environment Professional work environment
Work ScheduleFull time. Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm, 1 hour lunch.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include But Not Limited ToPositively respond to incoming calls from members and trustees to include:
- Explain pension benefits
- Assist with applications
- Assist with questions about estimates
- Assist with questions about QDRO processing
- Review the meaning of any mailings sent
- Review loan guidelines
- Review loan payment requirements
- Assist with plan specific questions
- Assist with pension eligibility and vesting information questions
- Assist with other questions or concerns and provide problem resolution
- Create task inquiry and follow through after the inquiry has been logged into the system.
- Document all calls
- Assist with additional Pension Department work as required
- Representative will be expected to handle each call professionally and to the best of his/her ability.
- Representative must have compassion and patience for members who need a little extra time to express themselves.
- Representatives will be confident handling difficult situations
- Representatives must have superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Representatives must be flexible and willing to pitch in and work together as a team member.
- Representatives should have general knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
