The individual’s role will be to provide the technical knowledge in the design, development, implementation, maintenance and support of enterprise web applications.
RequirementsAre you an experienced Java Developer with a passion for transportation and logistics? If you have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in web application development using Java, J2EE, JSP, Spring, and related technologies, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java, J2EE, JSP, Spring, and Spring Data.
- Utilize Bootstrap for creating responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.
- Perform Object-Oriented Analysis and Design to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Enhance existing applications and integrate them with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Boot.
- Work on microservices architecture using Spring Microservices (a plus).
- Utilize your strong proficiency in database design to develop efficient database structures.
- Provide software architecture and design expertise to guide the team in making architectural decisions.
- Develop and maintain web services (SOAP and REST) and integrate them with various components.
- Collaborate with legacy systems such as iSeries to ensure seamless integration.
- Contribute to the development of mobile applications using the Ionic Framework (a plus).
- Optimize application performance through Java profiling, memory profiling, and database tuning.
- Conduct code reviews and analyze code for weaknesses and errors, providing improvement plans.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve project goals.
- Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced atmosphere, meeting aggressive deadlines.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in web application development using Java, J2EE, JSP, Spring, and Spring Data.
- Previous experience in the transportation/logistics industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of Spring Microservices is desirable.
- Strong expertise in database design and utilization of PostgreSQL.
- Minimum of 3 years of software architecture and design experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, Servlets, and JDBC.
- Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git.
- Experience with Hibernate and Struts 2 frameworks.
- Knowledge of mobile development with the Ionic Framework is an advantage.
- Proven track record of performance tuning applications and databases.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Adaptable to a changing work environment and dedicated to achieving success.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant working experience.
