We are seeking a QMS Manager to join our team!

The Function of the QMS Manager will maintain the Quality Assurance System including but not limited to recording and updating daily assurance, ISO 9001-2015, API Q1, API 5CT and all applicable standards.

The QMS Manager will be responsible for maintaining the claim log, customer database, test report database, scheduling and training records, job manuals, including all administrative functions for Benoit's Ennis Texas and Houma Louisiana Facility.

Specific duties of the QMS Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain compliance of the QMS for company, customer, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct and lead internal/external QMS audits, out of specification (OOS), investigations, deviations, CAPA, etc.
  • Provide support for development and QA environments as well as mange test and production servers under strict change- control policies.
  • Monitor and report on quality data for CAPA, NCR, complaints, material reviews, equipment calibration/ PM and SPC trending.
  • Manage and report monthly quality systems KPI'S and track improvement projects.
  • Maintaining the SOPs which includes contracting/training the workforce when changes are made.
  • Management of the calibration system, issuing ad recording process deviations.
  • Initiating following and distributing Trials and their results.
  • Reporting daily and monthly Quality Index information.
  • Helping to communicate information associated with the product quality and improvements to the workforce.
  • Maintaining all Quality documents in a highly organized fashion.
  • Helping with the daily management and maintenance of the quality system which can include assignments that may require off-hour or weekend work.
  • Maintaining scrap recipes, evaluating performance changes, reason and auditing of changes.
  • This role will include direct supervisory responsibilities within the Quality department.
  • Job duties may evolve, and additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Quality Manager.

Candidate’s minimum skills and experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science -Degree or equivalent experience; Metallurgy/Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business Management preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel. Proven written and verbal communication skills, including Quality Manual and Second Tier Procedure Writing skills.
  • Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and proven decision-making skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of our organization.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with Benoit’s customers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with proven interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Threading processes: Seamless and ERW.
  • Initiative to identify areas, propose and initiate solutions.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Experience in the management of 6S projects.
  • Two years of Quality Assurance experience preferred.
  • Familiar with Quality Management systems, preferred.
  • Certified Quality Auditor, preferred.
  • Experience in ISO 9001/Quality, API 5CT, API Q1 Standards, preferred
