Blackhawk Middle School is seeking a versatile science teacher/social science teacher that has working knowledge of grades 6-8 Next Generation Science Standards and Illinois Social Sciences standards.
In addition, this teacher must be familiar with current pedagogy and interventions that produce results with both struggling and secure students. Potential candidates should be well versed in the academic,
social/emotional needs of middle school students and possess a willingness to devote the time required to be successful with high needs students. This teacher must be collaborative and collegial and be an active,
positive presence that promotes a safe and welcoming learning environment for both students and colleagues.
Qualifications:

• Professional Educators License with these endorsements:
  • Middle School Social Science - REQUIRED
  • Middle School Science - REQUIRED
• Successful teaching experience desired, but not necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to be an effective member of a team
• Commitment to data-based decision making and continuous improvement model.

THIS POSITION IS FOR A MATERNITY LEAVE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL - 8/15/2024 FOR 8 WEEKS!

PAY RATE: $250/DAY
