You'll play a pivotal role in providing essential support and guidance to our school community. As a compassionate advocate for students' social, emotional, and academic well-being, you'll have the chance to foster positive relationships, implement effective interventions, and collaborate with staff, families, and external partners. Salary: $250/day Qualifications:Master’s degree in Social Work. Illinois Professional Education License - School Social Work Endorsement Primary Responsibilities and Duties: This employee is responsible for the delivery of counseling services to general education, 504 and special education students.
Providing counseling and support services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans
Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and strengths
Facilitating individual or group counseling sessions to address various issues, such as conflict resolution, bullying, or stress management
Connecting students and families with community resources and support services as needed
Maintaining accurate documentation and records of student interactions and progress
Participating in team meetings and professional development activities as required
Adhering to ethical and legal guidelines in all interactions and interventions
Physical Demands:
Ability to read and communicate effectively with employees of the district.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in either written, diagram or oral form.
Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
