They have retained our firm to identify a Director of Human Resources for their leadership team! This role will serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management to support a best-in-class employee experience ranging from onboarding, team building, resolving conflict, and developing talent. The Director of Human Resources is pivotal in steering the Human Resources organization toward achieving exceptional results. This position involves multiple sites and leading a compact, dynamic HR team, ensuring the team is aligned with the company's strategic goals. As an integral Executive Leadership team member, this role is crucial for shaping and implementing effective business plans and strategies encompassing the full spectrum of human resources functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate actively with executive leadership to contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive business plans and strategies.
  • HR Leadership: Lead and manage a dedicated HR team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Support: Provide operational HR guidance, consulting, and resolution strategies across the organization, ensuring effective implementation of HR initiatives.
  • Workforce Planning: Spearhead initiatives in workforce planning to align human resources with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention: Develop and implement cutting-edge talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent, coupled with effective retention programs emphasizing career development and employee satisfaction.
  • Compensation: Responsible for administration and management of compensation strategies for the organization, including salary action planning, incentive compensation program administration, and reward and recognition programs.
  • Employee Relations: Build and maintain robust employee relations practices that promote a positive work environment, resolve conflicts, and ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Talent Development: Champion talent development initiatives that support the growth and development of employees, aligning with the organization’s needs and individual career aspirations.
  • Organizational Design and Effectiveness: Lead efforts in organizational design to ensure the structure is agile and effective, supporting the organization’s goals and promoting optimal operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • An advanced degree or HR certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an HR leadership role, with a track record of achieving results.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions, including compensation, talent acquisition and retention, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to translate business strategies into actionable HR initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex HR issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
