Bentley Academy Innovation School
The mission of the K-5 Bentley Academy Innovation School (BAIS) is to prepare all students for personal and academic success. The vision of BAIS is that students will achieve the same high levels of achievement regardless of socioeconomic status, race, native language, or other elements of privilege or challenge. All staff members are committed to ongoing coaching and reflection to ensure students are supported by data-informed and research-based instructional and social emotional strategies. In the 2020-21 school year, Salem Public Schools began a Dual Language (Spanish) program at Bentley Academy, adding one grade per year, starting with kindergarten. The program is designed to both ensure students are bilingual and biliterate and that they are socio culturally competent, through embedded social justice standards and practices.
What You’ll Do:
Elementary School teachers are responsible for preparing all students for personal and academic success. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high-quality educational program. The elementary teacher will effectively manage a partnership with families through regular ongoing communication. The elementary teacher will participate in ongoing professional learning and coaching to deepen knowledge of rigorous engaging curriculum and pedagogy in both academic content and social emotional learning.
