What We’re Looking For:

• Proven leadership experience in the kitchen or hospitality industry
• Strong understanding of sushi preparation and presentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and motivate a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Your Responsibilities:

• Store Operations: Ensure all prep sheets, cleaning lists, and station checklists are filled out accurately. Delegate tasks according to the Headboard Execution Guide. Resolve problems efficiently, including employee conflicts and customer complaints.
• Team Leadership: Lead each shift by assigning tasks and following up with team members. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude, setting an example for all employees. Provide exceptional and engaging customer service.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory and purchasing for all sushi-related items, ensuring quality and freshness. Implement proper FIFO rotation to maximize quality and minimize waste.
• Staffing: Interview, onboard, and train employees according to company protocols. Maintain a fully staffed roster and develop future management candidates. Conduct timely and meaningful performance reviews.
• Menu Preparation: Enforce recipes accurately and maintain food preparation processes outlined in the Menu Guide. Prepare food throughout the day, anticipating and reacting to guest volume.
• Health and Safety: Act in accordance with all Health, Safety, and Hygiene regulations. Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards while storing, preparing, and cooking food.

Qualifications:

• Minimum age: 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of sushi experience
• Previous restaurant management experience
• Completion and understanding of the ServSafe Food Handler program
