Benton County (OR) is Hiring a Qualified Mental Health Professional - Crisis Specialist Near Corvallis, OR

Benton County is seeking Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP) to join the Crisis and Forensic Programs.
JOB SUMMARY 
Crisis and Forensic QMHP's will provide crisis/forensic services to individuals in need as well as minor case management, resource identification, and referral options. The individual in this position will possess a desire to be creative in matching individuals to available services while educating the community about the various services we provide. This position will serve in the Crisis Program Areas and provide mental health crisis services including but not limited to; mobile crisis, counselor of the day services, civil commitment investigations, forensic populations and consultation to individuals/ families in the community who are needing some extra support. In any area of assignment, the QMHP will provide triage, brief assessment, consultation, and referrals to community supports. Those interested in or assigned to the forensics programs (aid & assist, jail diversion, etc.) will also provide consultation/testimony to courts, Oregon State Hospital and other justice involved individuals. While established clinicians can step into this position, the crisis center provides training, oversight and clinical supervision to help develop skills. Licensure supervision is available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The following minimum qualifications are REQUIREDfor this position:
QMHP - Health Care Professional 2 level:
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field; AND 
  • One year of health experience providing mental health outpatient services ; AND
  • Must be registered as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) or be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire. 
QMHP - Health Care Professional 3 level:
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field; AND
  • Two years of health experience providing mental health outpatient services; AND
  • PsyD, LCSW, LPC, LMFT or equivalent licensure.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Please note candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent.

  • Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
  • Valid Oregon driver's license. This position requires driving and may require use of a personal vehicle.
