Job Summary
Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of core HR functions, including employee relations, labor (union) relations, HR advisor and consultant to assigned County departments, training and organizational development, employee engagement, talent acquisition, and position reviews. Serves as HR business partner with management to address workforce challenges, develop people strategies, and foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture.

  • Human Resources Analyst 3 Annual Salary Range: $80,012.61 - $109,107.65
  • Human Resources Analyst 2 Annual Salary Range: $74,085.86 - $101,026.02
Hybrid work option available: This position provides flexibility to work a combination of remote and on-site upon the incumbent's successful completion of the probationary period.

  • Annual salary range of:
    • Human Resources Analyst 3: $80,012.61 - $109,107.65

    • This position is eligible for up to two salary raises within your first year. An Increase may be given at the end of the 6-month probationary period, depending on starting salary, and at the 1-year anniversary, as long as your performance is in good standing! Annual performance-based increases are given until the maximum of the salary range is reached.

UNDERFILL and LOWER LEVEL OPTION:The goal is to fill this position as a Human Resources Analyst 3. However, applicants who can meet the minimum qualifications for the Human Resources Analyst 3 within one year of on-the-job training are encouraged to apply as "underfill" candidates. Employees hired into the Human Resources Analyst 3 level position as an underfill will be hired as a Human Resources Analyst 2 and then re-classified to the Human Resources Analyst 3 upon passing trial service and meeting the minimum qualifications for that classification. Applicants who do not meet the requirements for the underfill option may be considered for the lower level option of Human Resources Analyst 2.
Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are requiredfor this position:
Human Resources Analyst 3 (BA43)
  • Bachelor’s degree in: Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business, Public Administration, or related field of study; AND 
  • 5 years of professional level experience as a human resources generalist
Human Resources Analyst 2 (BA42)
  • Bachelor’s degree in: Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business, Public Administration, or related field of study; AND 
  • 3 years of professional level experience as a human resources generalist
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Please note candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent. 
Special Requirements
  • A cover letter is required to be submitted with your application. The cover letter should be no more than two pages in length and provide examples of your work experience in one or more of the following areas: employee relations, labor (union) relations, workplace investigations, or coordinating or presenting structured training programs.
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate:
  • HR experience in a public sector agency
  • Training/organizational development experience 
  • HR Professional Certification (HRCI, SHRM, IPMA)
  • Experience in a collective bargaining environment
