Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and address any concerns or challenges.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care, adhering to all applicable nursing standards, guidelines, and protocols.
- Coordinate and provide ongoing training and educational opportunities for nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as nursing home policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents and their families, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly and with empathy.
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff, residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care effectively.
- Monitor and manage nursing supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate availability and proper utilization.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State is required.
- Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency are a plus!!
- Minimum of [2] years of nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, residents, and their families.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing home regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.
