What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Assistant position at BERKELEY EYE CENTER?
Berkeley Eye Center continues to see growth in our El Campo location. We are currently seeking an experienced doctor's assistant with a vision care background to assist with preliminary exam workups and scribing responsibilities.
Ideal Candidates will have 3 years of optometry/ophthalmology experience involving back-office patient exams and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records. We value people who are kind, flexible, dependable and honest.
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5pm
Friday: 8 am – 1 pm
Skills Desired:
Skill Set should include most of the following:
- Manual Refractions
- Ability to read glasses on manual lensometer,
- Tonometry,
- Visual Fields,
- OCT,
- A-Scan,
- Topography,
- Computer Skills (experience on Electronic Medical Records a plus but will train OA with proper patient work-up skills)
