Berkot's is seeking Receiver applicants for our Burlington Location.

Berkot's Super Foods is a Family Owned Independent Full Service Grocery Store covering from south Chicago Suburbs into Central Illinois. We pride ourselves as being your local grocer, you can expect quality products and a customer service focused staff.

Job summary

• Summary of essential job functions
• Staging loads in the correct areas
• Proper securing of doors
• Load scanning procedure
• Verifying costs and quantities
• Reporting of discrepancies
• Sending cover sheets to corporate
• Take ownership of receiving area
• Accurate counting of loads
• Verify quantities by opening all boxes
• Proper listing of damages and shorts on invoices
• Maintain clean conditions of receiving area and Berkots trailers
• Be aware of suspicious activities in the outside receiving and trash areas
• Verify all returns and any product leaving the building
• Processing and reporting of all damage
• Enforcement of vendor cleaning program
• Ensure timely collection of vendor pallets and empty pop shells
• Ensure all deliveries of any kind are received in excellent condition
• Verify pop, beer and liquor orders match the written order previously approved by manager
• Communication of delivery issues that may result in the refusal of the delivery

Qualifications / Abilities Required

• Lift 40 lbs
• Stand on feet for 4 hours
• Must be able to withstand some extreme temperatures
• Use a pallet jack
• Use a forklift
• Use a computer
