Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is currently seeking an intern to support the Lien Claims department. As an intern you will be learning key fundamental business skills. You will be working in an incredibly fast moving business, and have the opportunity to make valuable contributions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of lien claims, including document review, data entry, and organization of supporting materials. 
• Conduct research to support claims resolution and maintain accurate records.
• collaborate with team members to communicate with external parties such as medical providers and attorneys. 
• Assist in the valuation and negotiation of disputed medical liens. 
• Assist in the preparation of reports and summaries for management. 

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program or pursing a degree in a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interest in workers' compensation and legal fields
