WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, Workers Compensation Division, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hybrid Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, and Azure environments and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing hybrid cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring optimal performance, security, spending, and scalability. This individual will be equally passionate about technology and teamwork, and uncompromising in delivering timely, high-quality work.
Job duties are performed onsite in offices and technical work environments. This position requires the employee to be On-Call for emergency situations when not in the office, and to respond within at least four hours to these types of events. This position may require some travel to other locations to perform technical implementations, assessments, and inspections.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure.
- Administer Microsoft Active Directory and supporting infrastructure, ensuring secure and efficient user and resource management.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Server, ensuring reliable email communication within the organization.
- Oversee the deployment and administration of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Ensure the security of cloud infrastructure in compliance with business and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and maintain the hybrid cloud environment, identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with software developers and system engineers to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based services with existing applications and infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and guidance on cloud development and deployment best practices.
- Remain abreast of technology changes in public and private cloud.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in the implementation of IT infrastructure systems, specifically compute, storage, and data centers.
- Proven expertise in hybrid cloud integrations, migrations, and deployments.
- Experience with HPE Greenlake or other Private Cloud managed service environments.
- Experience working with relational databases in cloud environments.
- Experience with a broad range of business applications.
- Experience with the Microsoft suite of infrastructure products, including Microsoft System Center products, Azure Arc, Intune and similar tools.
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Exchange, or Office 365 would be advantageous.
REQUIRED SKILLS- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, including cloud infrastructure management, network virtualization, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including user and resource management.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 deployment and administration.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work within prescribed guidelines with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated team first, service-oriented technology delivery.
