- DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
- Performs various technical duties to administer complex cardio-pulmonary care treatments to patients according to the physicians verbal or written orders.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
- At least one year experience preferred working in the respiratory therapy field.
- Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Associates and/or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Completion of accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- MARTL - MA Respiratory Therapist license
- NBRC-RRT- National Board Respiratory Care RRT
- CPR.
- ACLS preferred.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to cross train in the Cardio side of department ie: EKG, Stress tests, Holter Monitors, Event Monitors and EEGs.
- Ability to follow the AARC guidelines.
