Position: DEIB/SCHOOL CULTURE COORDINATOR

The DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging) and School Culture Coordinator will be responsible for advancing and sustaining a positive and inclusive school culture within the Berkshire Hills Regional School District. This position will focus on fostering a sense of belonging, promoting diversity and equity, and enhancing the overall cultural competence of students, staff and the wider school community.

Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in education, psychology, social justice, cultural studies and/or other similar field or related professional experience.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of DEIB policies, principles, cultural competence and equity in an educational context.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, staff, families and community partners.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, staff, families and community partners
• Familiarity with current research, best practices and emerging trends in DEIB and school culture.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering professional development sessions or workshops on DEIB topics.
• Project management and grant writing experience preferred.
• Other qualifications as established by the District.
