The McLeod Innovation Center
The McLeod Innovation Center is at the forefront of educational and technological advancement, providing an environment that fosters creativity, learning, and innovation. Our mission is to equip students and educators with cutting-edge resources and skills, enabling them to explore, create, and innovate.
Basic Function : The Innovation Coordinator will be responsible for equipment and fabrication management, supervision, and teach innovation courses as needed.
Essential Functions for the Innovation Coordinator will be:

• Fabrication Management: Oversee the fabrication process involving 3D printing and laser cutting, ensuring high-quality output and efficient workflow.
• Equipment Maintenance and Supply Management: Oversee the upkeep and functionality of all center equipment. Assist in managing inventory to ensure that the McLeod Innovation Center is always adequately stocked.
• Teaching: Teach 2-3 courses and moderate clubs related to the Innovation Department as required.
• Program and Event Development: Work closely with the Innovation Director to develop programming for various educational levels and assist with the logistics of schoolwide events, including setup and takedown.
• Instructional Material Development: Assist in creating instructional materials that standardize training for effective use of the McLeod Innovation Center's tools and equipment.
• Training and Support: Provide training to enhance students' and teachers' skills in creative technologies, coding, and fabrication techniques.
• Content Creation: Develop and organize content on advanced technologies and fabrication methods.
• Supervision: Contribute to the daily supervision of the McLeod Innovation Center.

Education & Technical Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in STEAM fields or related areas is preferred, but candidates currently pursuing this degree may also be considered.
• Experience in high school, particularly in Jesuit education, is valued.
• A background in art/design, engineering, CAD, esports, computer science, or STEAM education is advantageous.
• Familiarity with creative technologies like Micro:bit and Arduino is a plus.

• Team player with a collaborative spirit, flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset.
• Strong organizational, time management, and planning abilities.
• Proactive and eager to learn on the job with a "can do" attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective training and instruction for students and teachers.
• An understanding of or experience with Jesuit ideals and education is highly regarded.

This position is based at Fairfield College Preparatory School's Fairfield, CT campus and is not eligible for immigration assistance.
This position works 10 months out of the year with summers off. The working period is August 15 - June 15.
