Berliner Cohen, LLP is seeking a mid-level associate to work out of their San Jose office as part of the firm's Municipal Law & Land Use practice group. Our practice group represents two cities as city attorneys. We also act as special counsel for a variety of public agencies and represent private clients. The firm is a premier, medium-sized boutique law firm with offices in San Jose and the Central Valley. Candidates must be members in good standing with the State Bar of California.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience with such matters as the California Environmental Quality Act, planning and zoning, public contracting, open government and ethics, affordable housing, or general municipal practice.

The Land Use & Municipal Law Associate's salary range is $165,000 to $200,000. The successful candidate's salary for this position is reasonably expected to be set within this range; however, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the candidate's qualifications and experience.
