Overview Purpose and Essential Duties The Sheet Metal Fabrication Sales Representative II is responsible for prospecting new customers (external and internal), determining customer needs, preparing estimates & quotes and selling mechanical fabrication including sheet metal, HVAC, multi-trade modular assemblies, corridor racks and equipment skid packages. This position focuses on meeting sales objectives, developing customer relationships and creating a backlog of fabrication to support short and long term goals.
ResponsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities include:
  • Sources and contacts potential external clients weekly, documents and reports on findings accurately, thoroughly and timely.
  • Determines customer needs, estimates work, prepares quotes, suggests upgrades, and develops/presents solutions based on fabrication services offered.
  • Assist in generating fabrication from internal customers.
  • Monitors, reports and meets or exceeds sales objectives.
  • Develops and maintains an active proposal backlog that will support achieving the designed sales plan.
  • Documents and tracks customer interactions weekly including sales calls, customer service interactions, marketing correspondence and customer follow-up.
  • Develops long-term relationships to create brand loyalty.
  • Thoroughly learns the company's service offerings to explain to potential customers and persuade sales.
  • Assists team in creating and carrying out a successful sales strategy.
  • Coordinate with production/customer service managers to ensure orders are handed off to be fabricated and delivered.
This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the VP – Fabrication Services.
Qualifications Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Must have five (5) years’ experience in Mechanical, HVAC or related sales or experience in sales of other manufactured/fabricated to order products.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be organized and self-motivated with the ability to source leads, make cold calls, follow up calls, and visit potential clients.
  • Professional manner and appearance.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Preferred Education, Experience, And Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in a technical or business discipline.
Travel Requirements
  • 20% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location(s).
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
  • Climbing stairs.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
Pay Range USD $76,100.00 - USD $101,600.00 /Yr.
