Job Description :

Berry College invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator for TRIO Student Support Services (SSS). TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program supporting students who are first-generation, low-income, and / or have diagnosed disabilities.

Berry College's TRIO SSS program began in 2023 and currently serves 126 students with programming related to academic success, health and wellness, diversity and belonging, financial literacy, and professional development.

The Coordinator is a student-facing role with responsibilities including recruiting students, tracking participation, planning and implementing programs and events, and assessing program efficacy.

The Coordinator will provide supervision and mentorship to a Student Leadership Team, should be committed to diversity and inclusion, attentive to the needs of students with differences and disabilities, energized by helping others, and invested in supporting student success and wellness.

This position requires flexibility and will require some evening hours and occasional weekend events. This position will report to and work closely with the Director of TRIO SSS to fulfill TRIO grant requirements.

The position is fully funded with federal grant funds, and continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funds.

Requirements :

A bachelor's degree is required. The ideal candidate will have experience in educational opportunity programs serving disadvantaged students.

Candidates must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized and have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Successful candidates will have experience with educational advising and / or supporting the financial needs of college students.

Familiarity with databases and emerging technologies related to student service is a plus.
