The Safety Manager is a vital part of the Bertch team; therefore, this position is on-site located in Waterloo, IA.
Job Description
The Safety Manager will lead and engage in all aspects of occupational safety for Bertch facilities. This includes developing and executing safety training plans to meet regulatory and internal program requirements, maintaining safety documentation and records, and purchasing all safety supplies and equipment. The Safety Manager will also conduct or guide injury incident investigations, track all incidents (injuries, first aids, near hits), review and make recommendations for improvements, coordinate inspections, and facilitate new-hire safety orientations. Additionally, the role involves partnering with a third-party administrator on the coordination and management of workers' compensation claims.
