Description

Job Summary

The primary mission of Project Director Sensors-Aerial Intelligence (PD SAI), who fall under Program Executive Office, Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S), is to deliver the Army’s premier Aerial Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) sensors enabling timely dissemination of intelligence products to meet current and future Warfighter needs. BMA is seeking a Public Affairs Officer to support PD SAI’s mission.

Duties: The Public Affairs Officer independently provides support as the Public Affairs Officer to PD SAI by managing staffing and tracking internal and external correspondence with designated organizational functional areas. Has functional responsibility for drafting Strategic Communications (STRATCOM), awards, town hall messaging, press releases, and key talking points for senior leadership. Uses expert knowledge of administrative planning, risk management, and program analysis to deliver strategic communication (STRATCOM) and programmatic wins for the organization. Defines, documents STRATCOM and public relations processes and creates standard operating procedures or other written work instruction or procedures. Initiates, develops, revises, recommends, and implements STRATCOM policies, plans, procedures, and directives. Works across organizational lines to coordinate, synchronize and integrate short-term, mid-term, and long-range planning on projects and tasks. Collaborates internally and externally, provides advice and supports the organization’s leadership, staff, and program managers on assigned programs and projects for stakeholder engagements, briefings, reports, etc. 

Clearance Requirements

There is a DoD Secret Clearance for this role. 

Required Skills & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, English or related field.
• 5 years relevant PAO experience.
• Photography experience with DSLR digital cameras.
• Experience updating social media posts for large organizations.
• Adobe Photoshop proficiency.
• Proficient in creating and updating web publications.
• Experience creating and submitting high level DoD awards.
