Job Title: Controller

Hiring Range: $80,000 to $125,000 DOE

POSITION SUMMARY

As an integral part of the Finance team, the Controller is responsible for providing high-level accounting services for a company with multiple business entities delivered under a shared service model. The Controller will be responsible for preparing monthly financial close utilizing various financial reports for three (3) companies. Perform / review balance sheet account reconciliations, verify accuracy of recorded transactions, and maintain general ledgers. Path to Chief Financial Officer in 12 to 18 months.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare monthly financial close with financial reports for three (3) companies.

· Collecting and consolidating financial data

· Creating strategic plans for financial operations

· Managing budgeting and forecasting processes and budgeting for (3) companies

· Assess and improve accounting procedures

· Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts

· Verify that transactions are recorded properly.

· Prepare tax return data as requested by outside accountants.

· Assist with audit preparations and requests for information.

· Analyze financial records and statements for discrepancies.

· Identify and report financial internal control discrepancies and non-compliance issues.

· Make recommendations for ways to reduce costs, enhance revenue, and streamline processes.

· Mentor and train other accounting staff and delegate accounting tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 7-10 years of directly related experience in accounting.

· Familiarity working in the manufacturing industry a plus.

· Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

· Proficient in Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite preferred.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communications skills, both oral and written. Ability to work independently and as a team.

· Attention to detail and a high-level of accuracy.

· Strong ethics; able to handle sensitive and confidential information.

· Ability to work collaboratively and effectively at all levels of the organization.

· Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the accounting field.
