As a Brand Designer you will be responsible to evolve, curate, and maintain our visual storytelling and design vernacular across multiple channels. Your role will be hands-on and versatile, and your work will directly and indirectly inform all corners of our brand, from digital experiences to physical in-store applications. An ideal candidate for this position will be someone with a high sense of curiosity, a person who interprets design as a mindset, as a discipline that solves problems, tells stories, and grows a brand.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What You’ll Do

• Create and maintain our design systems.
• Design and implement new ideas & artwork for brand expansions, events & campaigns.
• Constantly evolve design via new technologies, tools, and trends.
• Work alongside a team of designers, art directors, and project managers to deliver compelling and on-point design on behalf of our brand.

Basic qualifications

• Available online portfolio demonstrating hands-on experience in design.
• 2 years of experience with branding, visual storytelling, and typography.
• 2 years of experience with creative tools such as Adobe Creative and Figma.
• 2 years of experience in creative agency, design studio or in-house creative team.
• Ability to think conceptually and execute with craft and care.
• Rigor to interpret design as a discipline and not as a decoration tool.
• Ability to verbally illustrate, rationalize and present design in a compelling way.

Preferred qualifications

• Flexibility to experiment with new tools and adopt new ways of working.
• Determination to be a strong collaborator and a good human.
• Desire to elevate design quality to help push the work towards a higher level.
• Knowledge of Blender and After Effects.
• Ability to create basic illustrations.
