As the Senior Analyst for Activity Based Costing you are key to improving Best Buy’s operations by providing dynamic activity-based expense and revenue insights. You will design dynamic ways to display activity-based expense and revenue within business channels to provide unique insights on profitability at the micro and macro level. You will do this using skillsets to design data models, allocation strategies, visualization techniques and more while partnering with Decision Science and Analytics, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure accuracy and value of the product being produced. This is a highly cross-functional role while managing projects and stakeholders to ensure we exceed expectations.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What You'll Do

• Organize data to enable cost allocations for financial and operational insights.
• Lead cross-functional partners including finance, business operations teams, and more through detailed reviews of expense and revenue reviews.
• Manage the milestones within the Activity Based Costing workstream including designing, testing, displaying, and communicating.
• Leverage PowerBI or other visualization tools to inspire what’s possible.
• Create a network within business operations teams to understand how the transformation of expense and revenue reporting can improve operating income and the customer experience.

Basic qualifications

• 1 year of project management experience
• 1 years of experience synthesizing data that produces actionable outcomes
• 1 years of experience leading cross functional teams
• Ability to organize data and create relationships that drive powerful insights.

Preferred qualifications

• 1 years of experience in the insurance, service contract, or warranty industries (Actuarial, Claiming, Underwriting, Risk Management, or IT).
• 1 years working with data to deliver insights.
• 1 years of experience working with big data platforms such as enterprise data warehouses or cloud databases.
