SUMMARY

Manage all departments and work towards total guest satisfaction by providing knowledge, support and guidance to all associates. The AGM will be involved in hiring and responsible for training and developing talented associates with a significant emphasis on GSS and ensuring that all associates are compliant with all policies, standards, procedures and regulations. The AGM will accommodate the guests’ needs and performs all department functions. In addition, the AGM will assist the General Manager and department heads to guarantee operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

70% - Management

• Oversee daily maintenance and housekeeping activities to ensure the successful operations of the hotel facilities, services, and amenities.
• Oversee hotel administrative processes such as staffing, training, and budgeting/finance to ensure proper planning and organization.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs and quality checks to drive cleanliness, productivity, efficiency, exceptional service and guest satisfaction at all points of contact.
• Provides training, including safety training, to staff
• Assists in the hiring of hotel staff and completes all new hire paperwork
• Reviews employee performance and conducts personnel actions such as disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Maintain the integrity of the hotel’s compliance with the company’s safety and security program and ensure adherence to all company and brand policies, practices, procedures and guidelines.
• Plan, organize, and delegate daily operational activities against scheduled activities.
• Conducts or assists in conducting staff meetings
• Adheres to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures
• Receives and resolves or assists in resolving guest complaints and employee issues
• Performs functions of the General Manager in their absence

30% - Other Duties as assigned

• Covers shifts in all departments as scheduled by the General Manager.
• Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed.
• Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
• Assists General Manager in annual wage scale surveys; ensures employee wages follow wage and salary guidelines.
• Assists with Annual Budgeting process
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have at least 2 years of hotel supervisory experience in at least one department
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have a clean driving record with no DUIs or other major traffic violations for a minimum of 7 years
• Must be proficient in all Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must have ability for flexible schedule as needed both days of week and times
