Qualifications
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet software, and SharePoint applications.
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a health-related field. Minimum of 2 years in the relevant field.
- Knowledge of Air Force and professional standards, military and civilian guidelines. Understanding of federal and civilian accrediting agency standards, state/national requirements, and healthcare legislation.
- Knowledge of credentialing and privileging functions, regulations, and management techniques.
- Ability to apply analytical and evaluative methods to improve Credentialing and Privileging Program operations.
- Knowledge of health care administration, management functions, and related laws and regulations. Proficient in medical terminology and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of inspection standards, DoD regulations, accreditation standards, and state laws.
- Ability to effectively use automated data systems like JCCQAS, Carepoint, and EHR systems.
- Skilled in researching and identifying complex problems in quality improvement and credentialing processes.
- Strong verbal and writing skills for developing relationships and preparing presentations.
- Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques sufficient to identify problems or unusual situations regarding administrative issues.
- Skill and ability to collect and analyze program data and report results of continuous monitoring activities for use in organizational decision-making.
- Certification in Certified Professional Credentials Specialist and/or Certified Professional Medical Services Management is desired.
- Master's degree in business, management, or a health-related field, and at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area(s)
