Description

Bestica is seeking a Registered Nurse with Nursing Home exp to provide service in support of Center Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Objective:  Shall perform on-site nursing services during altering periods of time in various areas of the Medical Center. Based on their qualifications, RNs may be required to work in areas of the highest need on the date of their scheduled shifts. RN shall also be subject to quality assurance standards established by the Joint Commission and shall perform in accordance with ethical, professional, and technical standards of the healthcare industry consistent with VA policy, regulations, procedures, and protocol.

Schedule:

RN will be scheduled for shifts (Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, etc.) based on the needs of VAMC

8-Hour shift:

Day 0730 -1600

Evening 1530 - 2400

Night 2330 – 0800

12-Hour Shift:

Day 0700 -1930

Night 1900-0730

(12-hour short shift – 8 hours – 0700 -1530; 1500 - 2330; and 2300 - 0730).

Select units/areas may have shift starts that vary from these standard times.

Qualifications

•  All RNs must have an associate or bachelor’s degree (preferred) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited Nursing program
• RN shall have a full and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
• must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively apply all aspects of the nursing process within a collaborative, interdisciplinary practice setting.
• shall be proficient in written and spoken English
• Must have a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by a provider recognized by the American Heart Association
• One (1) year experience in Acute care/Oncology area within the past 3 years
