Bethany Athletic Club, a premier athletic club in Portland’s west side seeks a Pilates Instructor to join the Fitness team! The successful candidate will ensure our members receive the highest level of fitness expertise and professional care.

Schedule: Weekday evenings & weekend availability

Pay: Commission

Shift: FT/ PT.

Main Responsibilities:

• Coordinate own schedule based on client needs
• Perform Fitness Assessments
• Design and administer exercise programs that fit members goals, health history, and fitness level.
• Develop and implement small group personal training classes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 2 years of personal training experience
• Ability to demonstrate effective group reformer instruction
• Energetic, positive and motivational teaching style
• Punctual, reliable and dedicated
• Focus on customer service, including professional and effective communication skills.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe workout environment
• Assist in building club and department revenue by promoting retail and membership sales & services
• Flexible schedules, including morning, evening, and/or weekend availability highly desired
• Nationally recognized Pilates Reformer certification required (e.g., Stott Pilates, Fusion Pilates, Balanced Body, etc)
• First Aid/CPR certification required prior to hire date
• Have flexibility in schedule to instruct or cover as needed

• Extremely professional and hard-working with exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to socialize well with members and clients.
