Bethany Athletic Club, a premier athletic club in Portland’s west side seeks a Youth Class Instructor to join the Kid Central team! The successful candidate will be responsible for leading group exercise classes for our youth clientele with enthusiasm and professionalism to help participants reach their personal goals.

Pay: $16.50- $17.00

Shift: Part Time

Main Responsibilities:

• Display at all times a positive and enthusiastic attitude in order to motivate attendees and ensure personal goals are met
• Continually strive to maintain and grow class size
• Assist youth club members with group exercise and address parents questions and concerns
• Regularly communicate with Youth Program Lead in relation to class success, issues, participation, and satisfaction to aid in proper evaluation and improvement.
• Track attendance and announce updates to participants parents at the start or end of class
• Cover other Youth Class Instructors as needed; be a team player
• Put equipment away after class and ensure room always looks clean and professional
• Ensure exercise techniques and equipment are properly used to enhance productivity and safety
• Be fully prepared at the start of each class
• Understand, follow and promote club policies and guidelines
• Participate in and support club events
• Be available and willing to work during all youth camps at BAC during summer, winter, and spring.
• Attend group fitness departmental meetings

All team members must have the basic ability to use computer/smart phone applications for training and company system purposes. Employees must also be able to comprehend written documents such as work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures. Also required is the ability of employees to speak and communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management.
