Job Title: Administrative Assistant/Receptionist
Location: Bethany Home Sioux Falls, SD
Type: Part-Time
Starting pay range: $16 - $18 per hour

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join our team and contribute to our mission of enhancing the quality of life for our community members.
Position Summary
As an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, you will provide essential clerical support, organize and maintain files, answer telephones, greet guests, and assist in coordinating services for residents. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
  • Greet guests and provide a welcoming environment.
  • Answer telephones and respond to residents' requests.
  • Assist in coordinating services for residents, families, and guests.
  • Support staff in solving problems and providing exceptional service.
  • Prepare operational reports as directed by the supervisor and board of directors.
  • Aid in planning staff training days and special events.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office efficiently and type at least 45 WPM.
  • Prepare correspondence and various documents for daily operations and marketing.
  • Maintain office supplies and identify needed supplies to the supervisor.
  • Sort and distribute mail to individual mailboxes.
  • Schedule and coordinate general orientation for all new employees.
  • Maintain and update various spreadsheets for operational analysis.
  • Assist with duties related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident, facility, and personnel information.
Essential Qualities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under frequent interruptions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong typing skills.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and composed demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Demonstrates maturity, flexibility, and enjoyment in working with people.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and diplomacy.

  • Strong interest in working with people and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and be able to carry out assigned tasks.
