The Bethel Weekday Preschool is seeking an Assistant Teacher for their PreK/TK Class for the 2024-2025 school year. The position will begin in mid-August and the schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 8:45am to 1:15pm. The applicant needs to minimally possess a High school diploma and have experience working with young children. Early Childhood certification is preferred. The applicant must also have excellent communication skills, a compassionate attitude, a nurturing teaching approach, a strong understanding of child development, and a commitment to Christian education.
The applicant will be responsible for:

• Multi-tasking throughout a high energy day and keeping up with the needs and demands of the class.
• Collaborating with lead teacher to monitor the development of each child and create developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Understanding the lead teacher’s routine when it comes to delivering a lesson and running the class in the event that the teacher is absent on a particular day.
• Working with children in the classroom to promote their learning, development, and awareness of God’s love for them.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week
