Bethel College has an immediate opening for a part-time Assistant Softball Coach.

The successful candidate will have :

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills,
• Ability to analyze individual and team performances,
• Ability to plan, organize, and teach fundamentals and skills,
• Administrative and organizational skills, conflict management skills,
• Effective personal computer skills and ability to use various office software such as Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to perform physical demands of the position
• Ability to relate well with college students
• Ability to work and cooperate with other coaches, faculty, and supervisory staff in all departments
• Ability to operate within all guidelines and eligibility requirements of Bethel College, the Department of Athletics, the NAIA, and Crossroads League Conference

Job Duties :

May include, but not limited to :

• Be a spiritual leader and mentor for the team in practice, during performances, and throughout the year
• Assist in the preparation and planning of practices and games
• Teach assigned fundamentals and skills during practices and games
• Assist in the training and conditioning of the team members
• Assist in recruiting student athletes
• Assist in managing the team while traveling
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Position Requirements :

• Commitment to the mission of the Bethel College Athletic department
• BA degree preferred
• Coaching experience preferred
• Ability to abide by the Bethel College Covenant of Lifestyle
