Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all undergraduate students involved in the Theatre minor.
• Oversee the vision, strategic planning, and implementation of all Bethel University theatrical productions.
• Provide oversight and coordination of all external/off-campus theatrical productions and performances, including oversight of calendars, rehearsal schedules, class times, and logistical needs.
• Oversee all recruitment efforts pertaining to undergraduate Theatrical Arts programs, both on and off-campus.
• Strengthen and expand relationships with local/regional educators and relevant leaders in the theatrical arts community.
• Coordinate with the Chair of Music & Theatre and/or scholarship committee, regarding theatre audition opportunities, requirements, dates, and scholarship awards.
• Attend faculty/staff meetings for the Department.
• Communicate regularly with the Department regarding any academic presentations, grant-related opportunities, and/or publications.
• Coordinate the integration of Theatrical Arts programs with Fine Arts Calendar events.
• Oversee and coordinate creative opportunities for students in Theatre Arts.
• Teaching duties, as assigned, not to exceed 15 load hours annually.
• Additional duties, whether grant-related, teaching, or administrative will be considered overload and compensated accordingly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Minimum of three years of relevant working experience.
• Suitable progress toward a terminal degree in related academic field, or master's degree suitable to the role.
• Demonstrated excellence in acting pedagogy and performance

Other Skills

• Able to work independently, organized, detail-oriented, cheerful, flexible, and willing to follow instructions, both verbal and written.
• Take pride in representing Bethel University at relevant recruitment events as well as on/off-campus performances

Physical Requirements

• Physical capability to lift equipment up to 30lbs and push heavy equipment on castors (less than 200lb).
