The Accounting Associate will be a key member of BetMGM’s growing finance team and be heavily involved in building and maintaining new finance processes. This role will play an important part in supporting the roll-out of new offerings into new states while involve partnering with business stakeholders, our parent companies and state regulators. A successful candidate will exhibit a keen attention to detail, strong finance & business instinct and the ability to work both efficiently and effectively in an ever-changing environment. Above all the candidate must be passionate about what they do!

This role requires weekend submissions that will require some Saturday and Sunday work. This also brings flexibility with weekday working patterns.

• Perform daily finance reconciliations and regulatory submissions across multiple channels and states on a timely basis.
• Become knowledgeable in BetMGM’s revenue cycle and reporting process and assist in performing month end reconciliations.
• Flag up reconciling differences and lead daily investigations to resolve, including any necessary follow up.
• Work closely with the BI team during investigations.
• Work closely with other associates on the team to rotate daily finance reconciliations across all states.
• Provide support on all internal and external audit requests.
• Provide support to the wider finance team with ad-hoc requests as required.

• Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Qualified, Part Qualified or visible evidence of working towards a CPA
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate, describe and explain
• Ambitious self-starter, proactive and passionate about finance and business
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and under tight deadlines
