Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize UPS, FedEx, USPS and other freight carriers software to quote shipments and print shipping labels.
- Receive and check incoming pick tickets.
- Picking orders as requested by management.
- Locate products in the warehouse.
- Retrieve orders according to quantity, size etc. ensuring accuracy.
- Build boxes or pallets with orders and position them to loading docks.
- Placing containers on pallets, and securing with stretch wrap, shrink wrap and strapping.
- Ensuring correct shipping information is attached and moving completed orders to shipping area.
- Re-stock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment.
- Keep records of completed orders.
- Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions.
- Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards.
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean, neat and well-organized.
- Packing incoming stock away, taking inventory and reporting shortages.
- Ensuring correct shipping information is attached and moving completed orders to shipping area.
- Loading and unloading trucks by using totes, jacks and forklifts.
- Assisting in maintaining security of warehouse.
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
- 1 years work experience in a similar role.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse range of people.
- Proficient with using tools required for this position.
- Physically agile and dexterous.
- Proficient organizational skills.
- Ability to operate a stand-up forklift and a stand up reach forklift.
- Ability to lift 80lbs at a time and stand on their feet for extended periods of time.
- Packing orders for shipment.
- Must be able to operate a stand-up and sit-down forklift. Forklift certified.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to lift/carry 80 lbs.
- Ability to pass a full background check.
- Must be punctual.
