Better Hearing Aid Center is a local Hearing Aid Center in York, PA. We really enjoy being able to help those hard of hearing. We have been voted one of the Best in the Best of York for many years as we value our patients and treat them as family. Scot Firestone, ACA, BC-HIS has been the owner for many years and has his daughter, Keilah Firestone, BC-HIS working by his side.

We have 4 offices (East York, West York, Dallastown, and Stewartstown). This position would be for our East and West York locations.

The receptionist is responsible for welcoming patients into the office, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining different call-back lists, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, scanning, faxing, emailing, marketing, and insurance billing among other duties.

We are looking for someone to join our team that is friendly, motivated, dependable, and organized with experience in multi-tasking and working on a computer. This position is a critical component of our buisness, requiring the ability to stay organized and be reliable in completing tasks independently. Customer service or secretary experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Confirm appointments by phone
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain call-back lists and track cancellations and no-shows
  • Carry out general office work including filing, mailing, emailing, and copying
  • Check insurance coverage for patients
  • Scan and upload documents
  • Entering appointment data into the computer
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies
  • Vacuum and tidy office as needed
