Position SummaryWe seek an experienced STR leader to join us as our Director of Operations. In this role, you will drive Harris Vacation’s success by overseeing all operational aspects, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable guest experience, and maximizing the business's profitability. The position encompasses overseeing and optimizing the company's daily operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the COO in setting and driving the organizational vision and operational strategy.
  • Oversee daily operations and the management of assigned departments, which include property management, guest relations, and quality assurance (maintenance, laundry, linen, cleaning, and inspecting).
  • Manage departmental meetings. This includes scheduling, leading, reviewing, etc.
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance management with assigned department heads.
  • Develop departmental KPIs and targets and hold departmental leaders accountable for the defined KPIs and targets.
  • Conduct various periodic property inspections to ensure HV standards are met.
  • Work with the leadership team to drive the EOS process throughout your assigned departments.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned departments' financial impacts. This includes purchasing, invoice review, income statement analysis, budget creation, etc.
  • Work collaboratively to develop and improve systems, processes, controls, and procedures that enhance the overall efficiency of your assigned departments.
  • Responsible for managing tasks associated with risk mitigation, including preventative maintenance, various inspections, weather event plans, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure company standard of excellence is maintained by completing executive-level home inspections.
  • Partner with the executive team to nurture a highly inclusive culture, ensuring team members thrive, and organizational outcomes are met.
Qualifications
  • Experience in the STR / Vacation Rental industry is required.
  • Proven leadership experience within the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with EOS is a plus; ability and willingness to learn are necessary.
  • Comfortable with developing departmental KPIs and holding a team accountable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Receptive to new processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suites.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Compensation & BenefitsAnnual Salary: $65,000 - $80,000
Bonus Details: Team-based bonuses are awarded monthly.
