- Review pending claims for coding accuracy and making necessary corrections before submission.
- Make sure that codes are sequenced according to government and insurance regulations.
- Reviewing in-patient records and coding consultations and surgical procedures.
- Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement.
- Analyze medical records and claims to identify documentation deficiencies.
- Implementing strategic procedures and choosing strategies and evaluation methods that provide correct results.
- Researching rejected claims and making appropriate corrections.

- 2 years of Proven work experience as a Medical Coder or similar role
- Valid CPC certification through AAPC

- Knowledge of data entry and transcription
- Experience working with coding software
- High school diploma or GED required
