Job Description:

Origin Specialty is currently seeking a Staff Accountant who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. This position will assist the Director of Accounting with data entry, payment processing, accounts receivable/payable, audits, and other additional financial-related tasks.

Candidate should understand basic accounting principles and be proficient with computers and software.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor banking transactions daily and properly post payments (Wire, ACH, and Checks) into the system
• Responsible for all Accounts Receivable functions
• Send account statements and review and manage billing discrepancies
• Issue notices related to accounts
• Assist with billing communications
• Assist with Accounts Payable functions
• Perform data entry regarding audits and claims
• Assist in the annual external audit process
• Assist with month and quarter-end close
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 0 – 3 years of accounting experience
• Demonstrate excellence in both verbal and written communication
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing responsibilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
