Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit business advocacy organization serving our nine-county Finger Lakes region. Beyond TalentEdge is Greater Rochester Chamber’s for-profit staffing division, connecting businesses with talent through a variety of staffing services, including temp-to-hire, direct placement, and payroll services, empowering businesses to build robust, flexible teams.

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our leadership team for the following position:

Sr. Director, Beyond TalentEdge

This position will be responsible for the growth of Beyond TalentEdge through establishment and achievement of short and long term objectives, robust sales strategy, and strong relationships.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies, and action plans that are related to the strategic long-range plans of Beyond TalentEdge for challenging and achievable growth potential.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors programs, policies, and procedures to effectively accomplish the goals of Beyond TalentEdge.
  • Initiates, leads, and directs new business activities and proposal presentations.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing and potential clients to better understand their needs and provide solutions to meet those needs.
  • Maintains contact throughout the year with active customers for retention/customer service satisfaction.
  • Establishes ongoing working relationships with member companies, outside vendors, and consultants.
  • Responsible for budget planning and P&L for Beyond TalentEdge.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in staffing, recruiting, or HR in a corporate environment including direct experience with regular placement and temporary staff including sales/management experience.

Skills

  • Demonstrated experience at executive level; general management skills with ability to solve problems across functional boundaries.
  • History of innovation and successful strategies including innovative use of technology in a staffing/placement and/or recruitment environment.
  • A proven leader, manager, and collaborator.
  • Proven ability to strengthen cost/profit ratio in previous position(s), generate and implement decisive business plans, supported by critical ability to see plans through to completion.
  • Excellent networking, sales, and negotiation skills and written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, internet research, and database use.
  • Valid NYS driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently for client meetings.

Additional Notes

  • This is a full-time, exempt level position scheduled to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
  • Annualized base pay range of $100,000-$150,000. Potential for earning incentives based on achievement of revenue and other targets. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on various factors such as experience.
