About the job
Accounts Receivable Representative manages a portfolio of accounts and is responsible for communicating directly with customers to collect debts and resolve outstanding balances. This role requires a high level of customer service, as well as a mind for problem-solving to collaborate with both internal and external customers to resolve debts and collect payment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Manage aging for multiple accounts for reconciliation, resolution, delinquency, and debt collection
•Contact clients about delinquencies by phone and email. Refer to the Collections Guidelines
•Learn and use 3rd party billing vendor software to help in reviewing accounts and ensure accurate setup for the distribution of invoices
•Respond to customer inquiries – provide necessary invoices or compliance backup documents when needed
•Advise Customers on alternative payment plans and escalate to supervisory staff for further follow up
•Collaborate with Operations Team Leaders and Credit and Collections Leaders regarding collections efforts and escalation
•Provide team support in handling incoming calls and emails
•Retain customer loyalty while initiating processes for collections of payments which requires customer service, persuasion, as well as a mind for problem-solving to work with customers to resolve their debts and collect payment
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Intermediate skills using MS Office and database software
•Excellent verbal and written skills - Ability to speak persuasively and listen critically
•Organizational Skills
•Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
•Prioritize multiple tasks to ensure the successful completion of each debt collection attempt
•AR/Collections Experience preferred
